Introduction - Plasma Light technology
Plasma lighting systems are electrodeless metal halide lamps that produce light directly from an arc discharge operated under high pressure. The arc discharge take place in an electrodeless way using high frequency near field wireless technology, generating extremely high temperate light arc in the middle of a tiny size light bulb and magically suspended inside the glass cavity, delivering highest quality of light source.
The entire arc discharge process is powered by a high frequency generator operating at hundred MHz range or above. Then hundreds watts of high frequency energy is converted to electromagnetic (EM) fields through a metallic resonator. At the output aperture, an electrodeless glass bulb is designed to absorb all EM waves and turn filled gas into plasma ions.
